  • Tom Bossert will join the Trump administration as Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism. Bossert previously served in the Bush administration. [Link]
  • Citizens of Oregon are harassed and even jailed over ponds they have on their land. The government is currently trying to force one couple to fill in a 40-year-old pond. Another man was jailed for 90 days for building ponds on his land. [Link]
  • Facebook buys data on Facebook users from third party data brokers. This allows Facebook to give more targeted ads and learn more information about users. [Link]
  • Russia calls the US arming of Syrian rebels with MANPADS a hostile act. MANPADS are shoulder fired ground to air missiles. The US recently loosened restrictions on giving these weapons to Syrian rebels. [Link]
  • According to Turkish sources, a ceasefire will go into effect in Syria Wednesday at midnight. The deal will apply to Syrian rebels and the Syrian government. The deal will not include terrorist organizations. The deal was reached by the Turkish and Russian governments. [Link]
  • Ben Swann shows how the US has armed al-Qaeda fighters in Syria. He also busts the myth that the Syrian rebels are just secular opposition to Assad. [Link]
  • Saudi Arabia has launched an offensive against the only Houthi held district in Southern Yemen. 40 have been reported killed in the fighting so far. [Link]
