  • Trump picks Scott Garrett to head the Import-Export Bank. [Link]
  • A Federal judge blocks a group of upcoming executions in Arkansas. The governor planned to execute eight inmates in ten days because one of the drugs used in executions was going to expire. [Link]
  • A 10-year-old boy with autism was arrested in school for charges of assaulting a school employee. The incident occurred in November. However, police did not arrest the boy or notify the parents until he returned to school. [Link]
  • Pence said that the “era of strategic patience” with North Korea is over. Pence made this statement while in South Korea. [Link]
  • Slaves are now being bought and sold in open markets in Libya. [Link]
  • Turkey votes 51%-49% in favor of vastly expanding the powers of the president. There are several reports of voter fraud, but those claims have been dismissed by the Turkish high court. [Link]
  • An MIT professor who is an expert in ballistic missiles claims that the evidence that the White House presented about the Syrian chemical weapons attack is fake and leads to incorrect conclusions. [Link]
  • 127 civilians were killed, including 95 children, when a suicide bomber blew up a car next to busses. The buses were taking Shia civilians through rebel-held Idlib. The civilians were part of a deal worked out by the Assad government and Syrian rebels that allowed an exchange of civilians. The suicide bomber appears to have targeted the children. [Link]
