Ron and Dan: ‘Truth Is Treason’ – The Torture of Julian Assange

WikiLeaks publisher Julian Assange appeared before a UK judge to request more time to prepare his case against the US extradition request. Acting more like a Soviet triubunal, the judge went on to deny his every request. He is not allowed to prepare to fight his extradition. Even though Assange has served his time for “jumping bail” the British court ruled that he must remain in prison. His shocking mental and physical condition after being held for months in UK’s notorious Belmarsh prison only confirms the UN torture official’s assessment that he is being tortured by the US and UK governments. Why? For publishing the truth. The lesson to others is clear: challenge the global US military empire and you will be destroyed. On today’s Ron Paul Liberty Report:

Hahahaha.

I know it’ll be horrible for the United States of America, and I honestly fear I might die laughing, but God I hope it’s true that Hillary is running. I’ve been saying it all along. The rest of the field is just too weak. She must be telling herself that she’s the only one who can do it. Hahaha. Jesus. I can’t even write this without starting to laugh my ass off about it. I might even vote for her in the Texas primary just to see her lose the general again. What fun.

Rights of Return Compared

Israel’s defenders often ask how third-generation Palestinians can possibly be recognized as refugees with a right of return to the properties from which the Zionists drove their grandparents in 1947-48. But didn’t those Zionists, most of whom had arrived ony three years earlier, claim to be 80th-generation refugees with a right of return to Palestine? (In the latter case, it could not be a real return because their ancient ancestors had not been exiled by the Romans and thus were not a diaspora. Most Jews today are likely the descendants of converts, of which there were many far and wide in antiquity.)

California’s Biometric Surveillance Moratorium

California recently passed Assembly Bill 1215, which prevents the use of biometric surveillance via body cameras worn by police officers. It’s nice to see the state not take on more power for once.

H/T to my good friend David McNaughtan of the Ledger Dispatch for the write-up.
