June 19 and 20 I’m giving speeches at Porcfest in New Hampshire.
On the 19th, I’m on with my friends, the great libertarian comedian Dave Smith and FFF president Jacob Hornberger.
Then on the 20th I’m doing another talk on the wars.

A new network of 3D-printed gun advocates is growing in America – and this time things are different. Unlike previous attempts to popularise 3D-printed guns, this operation is entirely decentralised. There’s no headquarters, no trademarks, and no real leader. The people behind it reckon that this means they can’t be stopped by governments.
They’re uploading these files individually on services such as Spee.ch, a media-hosting site underpinned by the LBRY blockchain, and they aren’t waiting for anyone to give them permission. They’ve made their own 3D-printed gun designs, modified old ones, and are keeping all the Defence Distributed ones available for free too.
This is one reason the blockchain is so important – it allows for anonymous decentralized sharing. Governments will still try and stop it, but without complete control of the internet they won’t be able to.
All the regular Joes at the red light were cool with the man panhandling.
But the cop was evidently startled and so shot him. The man is now in critical condition.
More like that here.
No f—ing way.
Really? Rad. Across the country different jurisdictions — not sure about Texas, but wouldn’t be surprised — have been caught shortening yellow light times to increase revenue. Which is simply murder.
Score one against the technopoly.
Update: Oy. Speaking of Neil Postman…
I was interviewed last night on the Neighbor’s Choice show with David Gornoski.
Yeah, well we already knew there’s no threat from Iran against the USA.
But here Trump’s man at the Pentagon says, “I think our steps were very prudent and we’ve put on hold the potential for attacks on Americans and that is what is extremely important. I’d say we’re in a period where the threat remains high and our job is to make sure that there is no miscalculation by the Iranians.”
Eddie Gray, the owner of the online pipe-smokers’ boutique The Pipe Nook, reports in his latest YouTube video that the FDA has accused him of selling to a minor but refuses to provide the evidence. This is nothing less than a direct assault on a basic principle of Anglo-American justice: innocence until guilt is proved, which means that the government — exclusively — has the burden of proof and the accused has no burden whatever to provide evidence of his innocence. One obvious aspect of this principle is that the state has an obligation to present the evidence to the accused, who may then rebut it. This is how things should work because one cannot prove a negative, namely, that one is not guilty, especially when one is given no details about the alleged offense.
When will those in Washington who love to rail against regulation finally pull the plug on the FDA, which tramples individual rights wherever it treads?
Aren’t you grateful for government healthcare subsidies — since government has made healthcare completely unaffordable without them.
As Harry Browne used to say, government breaks your leg then hands you crutches and expects you to be grateful. That’s assuming you get any help from them on the down side at all, or that you’d accept it.
