A “U.S. official” tells the Times, “the ultimate goal of the yearlong economic sanctions campaign by the Trump administration was to draw Iran into an armed conflict with the United States.”

Our Eternal Shame in Yemen
Two days after a drone attack on a Saudi oil pumping station the coalition carried out 11 attacks on the capital of Sanaa in all, out of a total of 19 across rebel-held territory on Thursday.
The American people are as guilty of war crimes as the Saudis for aiding and allowing this to continue.

Amal Al Yarisi: Heart goes out to this little beautiful girl. She is the only survivor after the airstrike hit her house and killed all her family in Sanaa this early morning
Jerusalem Post: How to Attack Iran
Not that the Israel Lobby in this country is an enemy fifth column or anything.
But this guy makes it just a little more obvious that the USA has no interest in a war with Iran. It’s just what Israel wants, that’s all.
But don’t worry, this Israeli assures us, it’ll be just great.
The aerial assault would avoid the population and focus on the regime.
It would first raze all military airfields and aircraft, and then bomb missile sites, nuclear installations, armories, warships, secret-police buildings, and the fleets of motorbikes on which Basij cops scoot as they club demonstrators. On top of these, assorted leaders, both military and civilian, would be personally targeted.
Throughout it all, the message to the Iranian people will be: We’re not the Russians, who joined a despot’s war on his people; this air force is on the side of the people. We are after the regime that oppressed you, defamed us, and destabilized the entire world. If you want to seize your fate, gain your freedom and restore your pride – join us.

Angie Dodge’s Real Killer Found
Our friend and colleague, the late-great Will Grigg, had long championed the falsely convicted Chris Tapp in the case of the murder of Angie Dodge in 1996. Tapp was finally released in 2017 with the help of the victim’s mother Carol.
This case was featured on 48 Hours or one of those a couple of weeks ago.
Well — at least the cops now claim — DNA from the crime scene was traced to the real killer, who has now confessed to the murder.
Will was right of course.
And the cops, prosecutors, judges and jurors who conspired to steal Mr. Tapp’s life away — and in fact abetting the real criminal’s escape from justice for the last 23 years — will never be held accountable in any way whatsoever. That’s not even a prediction. It’s a simple fact of life.
(Hilariously, in the above linked article the reporter asks if the cops owe Tapp an apology — the closest thing they can possibly imagine to accountability — and they say they need a few weeks to study the question to see if maybe possibly they might.)
Manning Back in Jail
For refusing to rat on Julian Assange who’s only guilty of the offense of doing journalism anyway.
Police: Criminals
Watch them sick a German Shepherd on an innocent man for fun.
Watch them murder a man in broad daylight for fun.
Watch them run over a kid on a bike for fun.
You see, some people are psychopaths. They think it’s fun to torture and murder people. The smart ones of them become cops for a living. That way they can do whatever they want and never get in trouble.
