Disagree with your child’s doctor and you may get a visit from a SWAT team. Child Protection Service, state legislators and the juvenile courts are using federal child protection acts to expand their police powers. In Arizona members of the judicial system set up a lobbying group called the Arizona Judicial Council. The group pushes for legislation that will expand the police powers of the judiciary including legislation that, reduces high school graduation standards for foster care children, require all members of a household to undergo background checks before a child can be returned to their parents, another bill to keep children in foster care until they are 21 years old and a bill that would give court security police powers with authority to operate anywhere.

Guantanamo Bay begins construction on senior care wing.

GUANTANAMO BAY, CUBA—Saying the expansion would ensure the facility is adequately prepared for upcoming challenges, officials at the Guantanamo Bay detention camp announced Wednesday that they had broken ground on a new geriatric care wing. “Our senior care center will be located immediately adjacent to Camp Delta and will contain all of the essentials our detainee population will need in the years ahead, including easy-access ramps from the confinement block to the exercise yard as well as wall-mounted grab bars and no-slip mats in the shower area,” said Brigadier General Marion Garcia, who added that the facility’s 116 beds and each of its various enhanced interrogation rooms would be located on the ground floor so that inmates will not have to go up or down any stairs when moving about, thereby avoiding unnecessary strains on their joints and helping to prevent falls. “We also plan to mount defibrillators throughout the corridors and in every solitary confinement cell, and make sure that our on-site clinic is stocked with ample stores of hypertension medicines and BPH treatments. As our detainees’ needs change, so will our facility.” Garcia added that the new space would be able to make use of a number of supplies already in the detention camp’s possession, including its stock of feeding tubes and Ensure.

How would you like it if Hillary Clinton called for a Chinese military attack against D.C. in order to install her in power since like totally everybody knows that the 25th amendment says you can do that and that she’s the real president because their government recognized her as such? Disputed election and all that.

The front lines in a bitter debate between Israel’s defenders and critics lie in an unexpected place: state capitals across America.

Palestinian rights activists calling for people to boycott, divest from and sanction Israel have racked up policy victories over the past 14 years across the globe and in the USA, particularly on university campuses.

In response, pro-Israel advocates have taken the battle to state legislatures, where their lobbyists worked with sympathetic lawmakers to shut down an effort they said threatens the existence of a Jewish state.

A rapid succession of states – 27 in four years – adopted measures to curb the initiative known as BDS.

These new laws and executive orders were crafted by activists, then copied from one state to the next and adopted with virtually identical language. Most require tens of thousands of state contractors to pledge not to boycott Israel or lose their government funding. Other efforts require state pension boards to divest from companies that boycott Israel.
