Trump CIA Pick Pompeo Depicted War on Terror as Islamic Battle Against Christianity

by | Nov 26, 2016

Lee Fang at the Intercept:

“This threat to America,” Pompeo told a church group in Wichita in 2014, is from a minority of Muslims “who deeply believe that Islam is the way and the light and the only answer.”

“They abhor Christians,” Pompeo said, “and will continue to press against us until we make sure that we pray and stand and fight and make sure that we know that Jesus Christ is our savior is truly the only solution for our world.”

What? The USA had no problem at all with the relatively tiny al Qaeda/ISIS movement, using them against the reds in Afghanistan as recently as the 1980s; still used them in Chechnya, Bosnia and Kosovo even after they started attacking us in the 1990s; and since 2006 have been backing various bin Ladenite groups in Lebanon, Syria, Iran, Libya and Yemen.

The old Republican-backed “Azzam Group,” now al Qaeda, 1 even with U.S. help the last 5 years still only numbers in the thousands, and are hardly representative of Islam or Muslims at all; 2 have said over and over again, not just bin Laden, but all of them, that they target American citizens over the crimes of the U.S. government, especially beginning with Iraq War I in 1991 and the permanent stationing of U.S. troops in Saudi in order to enforce the post-war starvation blockade.

But yeah anyways, Americans are being targeted for believing in Jesus. Wowee, I guess we have no choice but to “defend ourselves” then.

You want to be safe and free? Buy a rifle and tell your congressman to get the hell out of the Middle East. And that means no more weapons for the Israeli occupations either.

If you want to read about how the U.S. and UK have worked tirelessly since World War II to promote Islamic Fundamentalism in place of nationalism and socialism in the “Arab world” read Devil’s Game by Bob Dreyfuss.
