  • Trump claims he influenced the decision of Arab countries to cut ties with Qatar. [Link] The Qatari government now claims their news agency was hacked and the leader’s quote about Iran was fake. Several reports in the US claim there is a suspicion that Russia is responsible for the hack. [Link]
  • A Supreme Court ruling reigns in some civil asset forfeitures. In Honeycutt V. United State, the court found that civil asset forfeiture was limited to property acquired as a result of a crime. [Link]
  • The Army will be offering larger finical incentives in an attempt to get soldiers to re-enlist. The Army is struggling to recruit enough soldiers are they are looking to expand their ranks. [Link]
  • Two groups carried out a coordinated attack on the Iranian capital city. The terrorists stormed the parliament building and an important Iranian shrine. The number of people killed in the attack is unknown. Islamic State is claiming responsibility for the attack. [Link]
  • A video has surfaced revealing Iraqi government war crimes in Mosul. The video shows the Iraqi government using white phosphorous in the city of Mosul. While white phosphorous is legal to use, it is a war crime to use it in an urban area. [Link]
  • 100,000 children remain in the IS-held areas of Mosul. [Link]
  • Splits are starting to emerge within the US coalition to fight ISIS. [Link]
  • 60% of the civilians killed in the US war against ISIS occurred under Trump’s command. [Link]
  • YPG forces announce the official beginning of the battle to retake Raqqa. [Link]
  • The US attacked Assad-allied forces in Southeast Syria on Tuesday. The attacked targeted forces the US said got to close to US troops in al-Tanf. [Link]
