I wonder if Donald Trump will do like Bill Clinton and start carpet-bombing Iraq today in a mission he’ll name after the Nazi Erwin Rommel to distract us all and pose as a great World Leader.
(Thanks a lot stupid Democrats for making me have to agree with Andrew McCarthy about things.)
Judge grants government proceeds from Edward Snowden’s book
Snowden, who leaked details of surveillance programs, is charged with espionage but has remained exiled in Russia since 2013. A federal judge ruled that the government is entitled to any money he makes from his memoir and paid speeches because he disclosed classified information.
A Virginia Congress-Critter suggested that the governor could call up the National Guard to enforce gun control in counties where local officials have expressed reticence to carry out gun confiscation.
This should lay to rest once and for all the silly notion that gun control is about ending gun violence. read more…
Thom writes, re “Prescription For Violence: The Corresponding Rise of Antidepressants, SSRIs & Mass Shootings“:
I am a psychopath.
I am a family man, I own guns. I would never go out and shoot innocent people.
I think calling psychopaths murderous people it’s not right. Just pointing that out.
I do not have any care for other people’s feelings unless they’re in my close group. I myself have a tendency to feel “empathy“ towards children and old people. But ask anyone I know and I am a good guy.
Psychopathy does not inherently predispose anyone towards violence. I am abhorrently opposed to violence. Unless one brings it upon themselves to act in a way where violence begets violence.
Just asking in the future they don’t label psychopaths as the killers. It’s usually people they have strong feelings that commit crimes. I do not have strong feelings, that is a trait of psychopaths. Therefore I have no reason to go out and shoot people. The people they go out and kill people have unregulated emotions.
Just trying to clear up the misconception.
Hope you have a great day,
Thom
It’s a matter of national security!
CNBC: “How a tiny flatware manufacturer in upstate New York could win big from $738 billion defense bill”:
“Manufacturing in general is a strategic asset for our country,” Roberts said. “If you can’t make things, you rely on other countries who may or may not be your friends in the future. You don’t have control over your destiny.”
What if there was a war and China cut us off from new forks and spoons?! We would all STARVE!
Thank God Congress is here to provide corporate welfare to selected companies in order to provide security from such a catastrophe that the market is apparently far too weak to provide.
