How to DEBUNK Libertarianism!

What would libertarians need to hear, in order to change their minds on supporting libertarianism?

Like any other theory or claim, we must define it, then find a way it can be falsified in order to avoid engaging in “moving the goal post” or confirmation bias.

Libertarianism: The moral philosophy that no person or group of persons have the right to initiate violence of fraud, and just acquisition of property comes from contract/voluntary exchange, original appropriation or proportionate restitution from aggressors.

What makes the state (all governments) illegitimate? It exercises control over resources that its agents never acquired through original appropriation or voluntary exchange, and it does so without the consent of the rightful owners of said resources.

To refute this claim, one must explain either (a) states do not initiate violence, or (b) violence is justified when a group called government does it.

If (a) of (b), they must then explain why states have a monopoly on rights no other group has- Does the Libertarian Institute have a right to ‘collect taxes’ or cage people for victimless crimes via ‘legislation’ they write, or engage in ‘compulsory education of children’?

Israeli Colonizers: ‘Put US In Its Place’

Not even Donald “Sheldon Adelson’s Private Property” Trump is Zionist enough for the Israeli right:

Settler leaders call on PM to ‘put US in its place,’ swiftly annex W. Bank land

Settler leaders reacted in fury to US Ambassador David Friedman’s Sunday clarification that the White House would not support immediate and uncoordinated annexation of parts of the West Bank by Israel, with one prominent West Bank mayor calling on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to ignore the warnings from Washington and put the Trump administration “in its place.”

“The United States cannot prevent Israel from doing anything,” said Jordan Valley Regional Council chairman David Elhayani, who serves as the chairman of the Yesha Council umbrella group of settlements.

Elhayani in a statement called on the prime minister “to fulfill his commitment to the residents of Judea, Samaria and the Jordan Valley to apply sovereignty before the elections, and to do this as soon as possible.”

Palestinians as Pawns

Trump’s “vision” for Palestine well illustrates that in his eyes (not to mention the eyes of Netanyahu, Kushner, and others), the Palestinians are mere pawns to be manipulated in the service of Israel’s and Trump’s designs.

This can be readily seen in an obscure provision of Trump’s plan, which “contemplates the possibility” that Israel and the future pseudo-state of Palestine could together redraw their boundaries so that nearly a dozen Palestinian towns within Israel, in an area adjacent to the line separating Israel from the West Bank known as the Triangle, would become part of the future pseudo-state. Were that to happen, the residents, who today are Israeli citizens, would lose that status without their consent and become citizens of the new pseudo-state. That would be an injustice.

While Palestinians are at best second-class citizens in Israel, they evidently do not like being ordered about by two entities they distrust: the Israeli government and the Israel-empowered Palestinian Authority, both corrupt and unmindful of individual rights. Netanyahu would no doubt like to see these towns transferred to the future pseudo-state (if there must be one) because that would mean fewer Palestinian Israeli voters and members of parliament. It would be ethnic cleansing by another means.
