Ukraine: Diplomacy More Likely Than Russian Invasion
Ukraine continues to send a much different message than what US officials are saying concerning a potential Russian invasion. On Sunday, an aide to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said a diplomatic solution to the current tensions with Russia is more likely than a military conflict. “An honest assessment of the situation suggests that the chance of finding a diplomatic solution for de-escalation is still substantially higher than the threat of further escalation,” said presidency advisor Mykhailo Podolyak. On the same day, Jake Sullivan, President Biden’s national security...
Salafis Throwing Bombs: How American and British Planners Partnered With Al-Qaeda Affiliated Groups At the Start of the Syrian Civil War
Introduction In the mainstream view, al-Qaeda did not play a role in the Syria conflict until Islamic State of Iraq (ISI) leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi dispatched his deputy, Abu Muhammad al-Jolani, to Syria in August 2011 to establish a wing of the group there, called Jabhat al-Nusra, or the Nusra Front. Additionally, al-Qaeda allegedly did not carry out any military operations until December 2011 and did not announce its establishment until January 2012. However, there is evidence that al-Qaeda affiliated militants were involved in the Syrian conflict much earlier. Saudi intelligence...
Iranian Assassination Claim Likely Aimed at Stoking Tensions

3/13/20 Dave DeCamp on Douma, Yemen and Afghanistan
Scott interviews Dave DeCamp about the latest news in the OPCW whistleblower saga, in which yet another whistleblower has now come forward, bringing the total to four. The employees, mostly anonymous, have claimed that their assessments of the alleged chemical attack in Douma in 2018 pointed to a false flag designed to incur U.S. intervention, rather than to a real attack by Assad on his own people—but these findings were ultimately disregarded. The mainstream media continues to devote almost no coverage to this topic, despite what should be obvious interest and very high stakes....

6/10/19 Gareth Porter on the Latest Excuse for War with Iran
Gareth Porter joins the show to explain the latest event being sold as evidence for the need to attack Iran. Evidenceless as usual, the claim that Iran is behind the sabotage of Saudi ships is based only on the fact that they had motive to do it. Porter's theory? This could have really been a false flag attack by Israel, hoping it would provoke an American response against Iran. Discussed on the show: "Pentagon's phony Iran "evidence": New rationale for U.S. intervention?" (Salon.com) "UAE accuses 'state actor' for tanker attacks, but stops just short of Iran" (Fox News) Gareth Porter is...
