In Episode 52 Tommy discusses his thoughts about reparations.
Growing up in an impoverished household Tommy never saw the racism that people claim exist. One of the biggest influences in his life was a man he calls Mr Jack, an African American that worked for “Granny” for over 2 decades. There were no luxuries in being poor that allowed Tommy or his family to engage in racism. They were much too concerned with surviving day to day.
Today’s political arena is scarred with discussions of race hysteria and reparations. Tommy looks at how the conversations are being framed, and addresses what he believes would be a better sell to a wider variety of people.

Patrick Cockburn has seen this all before. The sanctions our government imposes on countries cost Americans nothing. No American lives are lost, no hardship for Americans, no cost to the American people. So you get no push-back from the American media or the majority of the American people.
Why are those who impose sanctions able to get their way despite past failures? To governments they are a soft option that avoids the risks of war. To many they may seem more humane because, unlike bombing and shooting, the process of destruction is slow. The casualties – the young, the old, the sick – die invisibly in their homes and there is seldom proof that sanctions had anything to do with their passing.
Veterans Struggle To Gain Access To Medical Marijuana

Thirty-three states and the District of Columbia have enacted medical marijuana programs. Despite this expansion military veterans often face greater obstacles to gaining access to medical marijuana than other groups. Veterans suffer widespread health problems including chronic pain, traumatic brain injuries, and post-traumatic stress disorder at a rate higher than the general population. When veterans seek medical care from the federal Veterans Administration health system, they not only lack access to medical marijuana but may fear jeopardizing all federal benefits if they admit to personal use. Notwithstanding the rapid spread of medical marijuana across the United States, many veterans report feeling left behind.
