Why We Must Impeach Joe Biden

Why We Must Impeach Joe Biden

Last Thursday President Biden continued what has sadly become a Washington tradition: bombing Syria. The President ordered a military strike near the Iraqi-Syrian border that killed at least 22 people. The Administration claims it struck an “Iranian-backed” militia in retaliation for recent rocket attacks on US installations in Iraq. As with Presidents Obama and Trump before him, however, Biden’s justification for the US strike and its targets is not credible. And his claim that the US attack would result in a “de-escalation” in the region is laughable. You cannot bomb your way toward...

Ron Paul Calls Out Joe Biden’s Threat to Restrict Interstate Travel

Candidate Joe Biden promised not to abuse his executive authority or shut down the economy in order to fight the coronavirus. Instead, he said he would "listen to the science." An order limiting the ability of Americans to travel across state lines would violate all three promises. Such an order would be one of the most tyrannical acts of a president in American history. The only realistic way this order could be enforced is to militarize state lines. Is President Biden really willing to deploy U.S. troops to keep Texans from vacationing at Disney World? Restricting interstate trade and...

‘Libertarian Terrorists’

‘Libertarian Terrorists’

The Department of Homeland Security issued on Wednesday a nationwide terror alert lasting until April 30. The alert warns of potential terrorist attacks from Americans who are “ideologically motivated” and have “objections to the exercise of government authority and the presidential transition, as well as other perceived grievances fueled by false narratives.” The language used in this alert suggests that millions of Americans are potential terrorists. Second Amendment supporting, antiwar, anti-tax, anti-politics, anti-militarization, pro-life, and anti-Federal Reserve activists certainly...

The Warfare State’s Agents of Death

The Warfare State’s Agents of Death

With the mainstream media still obsessing about the January 6th “violent coup attempt” at the U.S. Capitol Building, the incoming Biden Administration looks to be chock full of actual purveyors of violent coups. Don’t look to the mainstream media to report on this, however. Some of the same politicians and bureaucrats denouncing the ridiculous farce at the Capitol as if it were the equivalent of 9/11 have been involved for decades in planning and executing real coups overseas. In their real coups, many thousands of civilians have died. Take returning Assistant Secretary of State Victoria...

Lloyd Austin Represents ‘Business As Usual’

Lloyd Austin Represents ‘Business As Usual’

Libertarian educator Tom Woods famously quipped that “no matter who you vote for you end up with John McCain.” Unfortunately Woods was proven right for about the thousandth time this past week, as Washington again showed us that it is all about war. First, we learned that if Joe Biden ends up in the White House next month he intends to put a deep state member of the military-industrial complex in charge of the Pentagon. General Lloyd Austin will be only the second Defense Secretary in decades to require a special Senate waiver to serve in that position. Gen. James Mattis under President...

Ten Years Later: What the ‘Iraq War Diaries’ Told Us

The purpose of journalism is to uncover truth—especially uncomfortable truth—and to publish it for the benefit of society. In a free society, we must be informed of the criminal acts carried out by governments in the name of the people. Throughout history, journalists have uncovered the many ways governments lie, cheat, and steal—and the great lengths they will go to keep the people from finding out. Great journalists like Seymour Hersh, who reported to us the tragedy of the Mai Lai Massacre and the horrors that took place at the Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq, are essential. Ten years ago last...

Julian Assange’s Persecuted Heroism

Julian Assange’s Persecuted Heroism

It is dangerous to reveal the truth about the illegal and immoral things our government does with our money and in our name, and the war on journalists who dare reveal such truths is very much a bipartisan affair. Just ask Wikileaks founder Julian Assange, who was relentlessly pursued first by the Obama Administration and now by the Trump Administration for the “crime” of reporting on the crimes perpetrated by the United States government. Assange is now literally fighting for his life, as he tries to avoid being extradited to the United States where he faces 175 years in prison for...

An American Withdrawal From Iraq Must Be More Than Words

Earlier this month, while meeting with the Iraqi Prime Minister, President Trump reaffirmed his intent to remove all U.S. troops from Iraq. “We were there and now we’re getting out. We’ll be leaving shortly,” the president told reporters at the time. Although President Obama should never have sent U.S. troops back into Iraq in 2016, it is definitely well past time to remove them as quickly as possible. Over the weekend, the administration announced it would be drawing down troops currently in Iraq from 5,200 to 3,500. That’s a good start. One big roadblock to finally leaving Iraq alone is...
