Damage control Bipartisan support for Israel is a source of pride in Congress, US Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi said in a meeting with Foreign Minister Yair Lapid on Tuesday. “It is a privilege to talk about the importance of the US-Israel bond, one based on our mutual security, mutual values, and is again something that is a source of pride to all of us in the Congress who work on this,” Pelosi said. Support for Israel “has always been bipartisan in the Congress of the US and continues to be so,” she stated. Pelosi said that when her father, Rep. Thomas D’Alesandro Jr. of Maryland,...

How Government Solved the Health Care Crisis!
https://youtu.be/Yv3bKr_Rgiw ... our very real medical crisis has been the product of massive government intervention, state and federal, throughout the century; in particular, an artificial boosting of demand coupled with an artificial restriction of supply. The result has been accelerating high prices and deterioration of patient care. And next, socialized medicine could easily bring us to the vaunted medical status of the Soviet Union: everyone has the right to free medical care, but there is, in effect, no medicine and no care. Churchill’s Machiavellian Move That Made Him Prime Minister
https://youtu.be/9wHMK1BrWug In war, State power is pushed to its ultimate, and, under the slogans of “defense” and “emergency,” it can impose a tyranny upon the public such as might be openly resisted in time of peace. War thus provides many benefits to a State, and indeed every modern war has brought to the warring peoples a permanent legacy of increased State burdens upon society. Murray N. USS Roosevelt Sailor Dies of Covid, Exposing the Empire’s Cruelty
On FPF #479, I discuss the first death of a US sailor from the USS Theodore Roosevelt of Covid-19. The story of the outbreak on the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier became a national story after a letter sent by the captain of the ship warned that his sailors would die for no reason of Covid-19. Captain Cozier's warning coming true reveals that the country's leadership doesn't care about the troops. The empire further exposed by not seeing the situation on the Roosevelt as a possibility for other ships. The US continues to deploy ships, off Venezuela's coast, or through the Taiwan Strait,...

COVID-19 Has Taken an Aircraft Carrier Out of Commission
Task and Purpose: The aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt will be pulling into Guam so that each of its nearly 5,000 sailors can be tested for COVID-19, the Navy announced on Thursday. The announcement comes days after Acting Navy Secretary Thomas Modly said three sailors aboard the carrier were diagnosed with the virus and flown from the ship. News reports since then showed the number had increased to at least 23 and that the “number is changing.”

While conceding their younger...
The New Deal, Part 2: Foreign Policy
As noted in part 1, the New Deal was in serious political trouble by 1937. (See Frederic Sanborn, “Collapse of the New Deal,” in W.A. Williams, ed., Shaping of American Diplomacy, II.) Agriculture Secretary Henry Wallace’s book New Frontiers (1934) was an early sign of the administration’s turn toward foreign markets as the most promising escape from the Depression. By 1937-38, the recession-within-the-Depression was pushing many New Dealers toward Open Door Empire. But fascist autarchy, local corporatism, Soviet communism, and new trade restrictions walling off European colonial empires...
